Madhead has confirmed that the highly anticipated black gold character, “Pure World Holy Grace: Idun and Nidhogg,” will debut in Tower of Saviors following the scheduled maintenance on November 9. This rare 7-star limited unit headlines the new “Abyss Altar” summoning event, which runs from the maintenance period through December 6.
Transforming Gods into Dragons
The “Pure World Holy Grace: Idun and Nidhogg” character features a branching evolution mechanic. Players can transform the light-attribute god-type unit into the wood-attribute dragon-type “Life-Ending Sickness: Nidhogg and Idun” using specific materials, including “Magic God Swords,” “Honeymoon Beasts,” and “Rare Crystal Dragons.” This process is reversible, allowing players to switch between the two forms. During the event, summoning the character for the first time grants a selectable “Eternal Golden Fruit” Dragon Ornament. This ornament provides a 3-second movement extension, a 3x damage multiplier against all targets, and a 1.2x attack boost for dragon and god members when matching race-specific runes. The ornament's skills can boost team attack and recovery by 40%, trigger a 100% attack pursuit for each of the five elements, or delay enemy movement by 3 turns.
- The “Abyss Altar” banner guarantees the featured character every 40 summons.
- Players can exchange one “Pure World Holy Grace: Idun and Nidhogg” and one “Holy Sound Token” to obtain “Divine Condemnation Crown: Hermes.”
- A “Top-up Gift” promotion offers 30 bonus Magic Stones for the first single purchase of 30 or more stones during the event period.
Combat Abilities and Skills
“Pure World Holy Grace: Idun and Nidhogg” focuses on high recovery and damage mitigation, while “Life-Ending Sickness: Nidhogg and Idun” emphasizes offensive power, including the ability to consume 100% of an enemy’s total HP.
Additional Content and Rewards
Starting November 9, the “Gray-backed Ancient Serpent: Grabak” will appear in the “Corroding Life’s Gloom” challenge stage, rewarding players with one copy of the character per completion of the Level 1 or Level 2 difficulties. Players can exchange 90 Rainbow Magic Stones for a new "Idun" companion to accompany them during exploration.
The introduction of this character continues the “Poem of the Northern Realm” storyline, featuring two iconic figures from the Enoch era combined into a single black gold card. Previous black gold releases have set similar benchmarks for team composition, but this unit marks the first time these two specific characters have been featured together in the game.
