After the Cévennes, Loire-Atlantique, Aveyron and Bouches-du-Rhône, Secrets Toxiques is organizing the fourteenth stage of its Tour de France in Hérault from January 11 to 18.
Secrets Toxiques is a coalition of nearly 80 associations and unions, which has been fighting since December 2020 to demand real control of the toxicity of pesticides before their marketing and is fighting for the effective application of European regulations on pesticides. This requires that the absence of harmful effects on health or the environment of pesticides be demonstrated before their authorization.
The Toxic Secrets campaign aims to alert public opinion to the undervaluation of the toxicity of authorized pesticides. This citizen Tour de France aims to obtain a change in pesticide approval practices, to face health dangers and the ongoing destruction of biodiversity. In Saint-Martin-de-Londres, the Fabules, Pic’assiette associations and the Les Étoiles du Pic cinema collective are organizing an evening on Friday January 12 at 8 p.m. in the Cinema hall, Place de la Mairie with the screening of a 58-minute film followed by discussions with Philippe Piard, co-president of Secrets Toxiques.
