Toyota is now expanding its Toyota Relax and Lexus Relax warranty models, with which customers can secure an extended warranty in addition to the new car manufacturer’s warranty. Instead of the previous ten years or 160,000 kilometers, the Relax activation now extends to vehicles up to 15 years old or a maximum mileage of 250,000 kilometers.
This means: With every inspection that is carried out for these vehicles by a Toyota or Lexus dealership, the customer receives a guarantee for the main components of his vehicle for a maintenance interval (1 or 2 years). This includes a large part of the material costs for mechanical and electronic components as well as the labor costs at the contractual partner. Wear parts and similar components are excluded.
All Toyota and Lexus models intended for the European market benefit from the extended warranty. It also remains in the case of resale and thus has a positive effect on the residual value of the vehicle. (awm)
