Al-Rasd Newspaper – Attia Al-Kahili: A circulating video clip documented the effectiveness of grinding flour for making bread that was channeled over the fire, amidst a great turnout of visitors and residents of the ancient village of Al-Atola in the Al-Baha region.

The video showed a group of citizens organizing activities for making canned bread, which is famous for preparing the people of the Al-Baha region.

And during the video, a citizen puts the dough on a thin, circular-shaped rock designated for making ducted bread, and then spreads it, then holds a torch from the socket in a bundle of “thawd” and “al-tabaq” trees and places it on top of the dough, then it is covered with the rest of the ashes and embers and a small fire is lit on it until it is ready to be extracted and served.

In the video, another citizen grinds the grain he extracts to make bread with a hand mill, “Al-Raha”, while the last leads the cows to level the ground, amidst the oboe player’s performance of music, and others perform traditional songs that the region is famous for.
