Travelers who are in the line of cars to cross into Ciudad Juárez through the Ysleta-Zaragoza bridge reported the closure of the port due to an accident that ended in a fire.
“Zaragoza, a major accident where they pick up people, where the phones are. It seems that it is going to take longer than normal to get to Juárez, and along the way the CBP (agents) will probably delay the lines further,” reads a post on social networks.
Apparently, a car caught fire near the toll booths in El Paso, so circulation was closed and safety protocols led to a temporary halt to operations.
