As part of the Olympic Flame Touching events for the “PARIS 2024” Summer Olympic Games, the following traffic arrangements will be made to facilitate vehicle traffic and prevent traffic accidents.
In particular, by decision of the Ilia Police Directorate:
1) Parking of all vehicles is prohibited on 04-16-2024:
a) Ancient Olympia: On the Section of the National Road Tripoli – Pyrgos (Pract.
Kondyli) that passes through Arch. Olympia, from 08.00 to
14.00 hours.
b) Amaliada: Antoniou Petralia – Ermou – Ancient Elida – Square
Anemomylou – Kalyvion until its intersection with Polytechniou Street, from
at 10.30 to 15.00 hours.
c) Ancient Elis: Provincial Road of Gastounis – In Front of Pinios Dam
Ancient Theatre, from 14.00 to 16.00 hours.
d) Koroivos: Provincial Road Gastounis – Pinios Dam from the 5th km –
6th km, from 14.30 to 16.00 hours.
e) Andravida: Along Ethnikis Antistaseos street, from 15.00 to
4:30 p.m.
f) Gastouni: Along Georgiou Sisini Street, from 15.00 to 17.00
time.
g) Pyrgos: Intersection of Filothei – Metropolitan Antonio (Patra) – Ermou
– Alfiou, from 16.00 to 18.00 hours.
h) Zacharo: Along the Pyrgos – Kyparissia National Road where
passes through the city of Zacharos, from 17.00 to 19.00 hours.
2. Gradual suspension of all vehicles in the following sections
of the National, Provincial and Urban road network of the Prefecture of Ilia,
during the passage of the Olympic Flame on 04-16-2024,
as follows:
a) Ancient Olympia: On the Section of the National Road Tripoli – Pyrgos (Pract.
Kondyli) that passes through Arch. Olympia, from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.
b) Amaliada: Antoniou Petralia from its intersection with the National Highway
Patrons-Pyrgos (Kouroutas traffic lights) until its intersection with Ermou Street
– Ermou – Archaia Elida – Anemomylos Square – Kalyvion until its intersection with Polytechniou Street, from 13.00 to 15.00 hours.
c) Ancient Elis: Provincial Road of Gastounis – In Front of Pinios Dam
of the Ancient Theatre, from 15.00 to 15.45 hours.
d) Andravida: Along Ethniki Antistaseos Street from its intersection with Nik.Plastira Street to its intersection with Kalfioti Street, from 3:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
e) Gastouni: Along Georgiou Sisini Street from its intersection
with the Gastounis-Lefkohori district road until the intersection with
the E.O. Patras Tower (traffic lights), from 15.00 to 17.00 hours.
f) Pyrgos: Intersection of Filothei – Metropolitan Antonio (Patra) –
Ermou – Alfeiou, from 16.45 to 18.00 hours.
g) Zaharos: Along the Pyrgos – Kyparissia National Road that passes through the town of Zaharos, from 18.15 to 18.40 hours.
Drivers are requested to comply with the instructions of the traffic controllers and to observe the Road Traffic Code.
