The Achaia Police Department announces the following decisions regarding traffic regulations, in the context of the 46th “THYSIAS” Cycling Tour that will take place from March 23 to 25, 2024 in Achaia.
1. SATURDAY, MARCH 23
-The partial obstruction of vehicular traffic on the Lappa-Metohiou-Kalogria Provincial Road and in the above-mentioned section (from Teichos Dymaion to Lappa), in the traffic flow from Kalogria to Lappa, which will be driven by the cyclists participating in the race, during the hours of 2 p.m. :30-18:30.
2. SUNDAY, MARCH 24
A) The partial obstruction of vehicle traffic from 09:30 until the end along the entire length of the route, as follows:
-On Akti Dymaion Street, from its junction with Glavkou Street to its junction with Kalavryton Street.
– In P.E.O. Patron-Pyrgou, from its junction with Kalavryton street to its junction with Kaminia intersection (height BI-PE).
– On the street Ag. Kon/nou, from its junction with Aiolou Street to Ilias Street.
-On Ilias Street, from its junction with 25th March Street to its junction with Polyteknon Street.
-On Polyteknon Street, from its junction with Ilias Street to its junction with Demokratias Avenue.
– On Dimokratias Avenue, from its junction with Polyteknon Street to the Kourlambas intersection (Patra Tripolios Road).
B. The partial obstruction of traffic at the Golemi intersection of E.O. (111) Patras – Tripoli with a left direction towards Kourlampas intersection in both traffic streams from 10:00 to 10:30.
C. The partial obstruction of vehicular traffic at the ¨Kourlamba¨ location on E.O. (111) Patras – Tripoli in both traffic streams during the hours 10:30 to 11:00.
D. The partial obstruction of vehicular traffic in the perimeter of Chalandritsa on E.O. Patras – Kalavryta – junction for Farrai
during the hours 10:30 to 11:30.
E. The partial obstruction of vehicular traffic, in the flow of traffic that the cyclists participating in the race will travel, from the Kourlampas Junction in the direction of Chalandritsa up to the Micha – Tsapournia Crossroads of the District. Patras – Kalavryton Road.
F. The prohibition of traffic and parking of vehicles, on the Provincial Road I.M. Agia Lavra – Skepasto, from the Entrance of I.M. Agia Lavra until its intersection with the Kalavryton-Priolithou District Road (Agios Georgios chapel), during the hours of 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Vehicle traffic will be carried out, from and to the I.M of Agia Lavra, from the Kalavryton – Agia Lavra Provincial Road.
3. MONDAY MARCH 25
– The partial obstruction of vehicular traffic, in the traffic stream in which the cyclists participating in the race will travel, namely: A) from Papagiannopoulou Square – Dexamenou Street – Olenou Street to P.E.O. Patron – Pyrgos (intersection with the Kato Achaia-Arlas Provincial Road),
B) P.E.O. Patras – Pyrgos, from its intersection with the District. Kato Achaias-Arlas road to Kaminia Patras (17,500 km)
C) on the Provincial Road VI.PE. Patron – Santomeri, from the VI.PE. Patras (intersection of N.E.O. Patras – Pyrgos) to Kalamaki – Avgaireika of Western Achaia and with its intersection with the Provincial Road of Kato Achaia-Arlas-Eliochorio
D) on the District Road of Kato Achaia-Arlas-Eliochorio, from the intersection with the District. VI.PE – Santomeriou road up to the intersection with the Provincial Road that connects the settlement of Ano Achaia with the settlement of Lousikon (at the height of the SAFAKAS olive mill), passing through the settlement of Arla
E) on the Provincial Road that connects the settlement of Ano Achaia with the settlement of Lousikon (at the height of the SAFAKAS olive mill) passing through the settlement of Spaliareika to its intersection with the Provincial Road of Kato Achaia-Alissou-Lousikon
F) on the Provincial Road Kato Achaia-Alissou – Lousikos and specifically from its intersection with the District. Road that connects the settlement of Ano Achaia with the settlement of Lousikon to the settlement of Kalamaki and its intersection with the District. VIPE Street Santomeriou, passing through the settlement of Lousikina
G) on the Provincial Road VI.PE. – Santomeri passing through the villages of Pigadia – Ampelakia – Santameri to I.M. Agios Nikolaos Spata
H) on the District Road of the Municipal Apartment of Agios Nikolaos Spata – Mataraga, passing through the settlements of Agios Nikolaos Spata – Agios Kon/no-Kefalaika until the intersection with the District. Kagadiou – Riolou Street
I) on the District Road of Kagadiou – Riolou, passing through the settlements of Kagadiou and Riolou until its intersection with the District. Odos Karaikon – Riolou and
I) in the District. Karaikon – Riolou Street to the entrance of the Krinos settlement (termination), during the hours 09:00-13:30.
Drivers are requested to comply with the instructions of the traffic controllers and to observe the Road Traffic Code.
