Kuwait City: The General Traffic Department under the Ministry of Interior conducted an inspection campaign in Jalib Al Shuyoukh. Authorities said 1020 violations were registered within two hours.

Violations such as driving license expiration, vehicle ownership, car window tinting, unnecessarily honking the horn, changing the shape of the vehicle, and non-compliance with vehicle safety standards were detected. Security sources said 10 foreigners without iqama were arrested.

Authorities have requested that those concerned regarding the crime be notified to the Department of Transportation via WhatsApp. Authorities said they would take action to protect the sender’s privacy if he sent a photo of the offender. The use of mobile phones while driving is responsible for a large proportion of road accidents in the country.
