Dubai police say they have fined 526 passengers and seized 210 vehicles during a two-month search in the Al Ruwaiya area. The action was taken following the complaint of the residents.

The first two offenses are punishable by a fine of 2000 dirhams, 23 traffic black points, 60 days’ seizure, 1000 dirhams, 12 traffic blackpoints and one month’s seizure, respectively. Driving with a number plate only carries a fine of 400 dirhams. Al-Masaroui said traffic violations could be reported by calling 901.
