Tragic accident on Saturday followingnoon in Carinthia. A father (29) ran over his six-year-old son in Neuhaus (Völkermarkt district) with a wheeled excavator. The child suffered fatal injuries in the accident, police said.
The father suffered severe shock and required medical attention. He had assumed his son was staying with a neighbor. However, he was with his bicycle behind the wheeled excavator.
His father didn’t see him when he was resetting the device, which weighed several tons. Any help came too late for the child.
