Tragic Accident: Belgian Tourist Dies in Marseille’s Cove of Saména

A 20-year-old Belgian tourist died on Sunday evening in the south of France, several French media report. He had fallen accidentally, the day before, in the cove of Saména, near Marseille, and had lost consciousness following hitting once morest rocks.

Four Belgian tourists had accidentally fallen into the water on Saturday. If three of them had been quickly rescued by witnesses of the scene, the fourth young man had sunk unconscious 14 meters deep following hitting rocks. After an hour of searching, he was rescued in cardiorespiratory arrest. Against all expectations, the emergency services managed to resuscitate the young man, who was transported in critical condition to the Timone hospital, where he lost his life on Sunday evening.
