On the afternoon of this Saturday, July 1, five members of a family died after the truck they were traveling in suffered a fatal accident when it was hit by a trailer on a highway located in the south of the state of Veracruz.
According to the National Guard, The events occurred on the Coatzacoalcos – Villahermosa highway, in the Nuevo Teapa – La Venta section, at kilometer 028, where the truck was hit by a box trailer, whose driver lost control.
The reports indicate that after the accident the heavy unit left its lane and collided on the right side with a blue wagon type truck, with Mexico City license plates, in which five people were traveling, including a minor.
After the accident, the private vehicle was completely destroyed when it was crushed by the tractor-trailer, so all its occupants died on the spot, while the trailer operator fled.
Police authorities and emergency bodies went to the place and verified that the five members of this family no longer had vital signs.
