Adoor: One person died after an auto-rickshaw fell into a stream at Adoor in Pathanamthitta. Near Water Authority Office
The autorickshaw overturned in the stream that joins the Adoor Valai stream in Vinobaji Nagar. Unni Krishna Kurup of Thatta Mini Bhawan was involved in the accident. The preliminary conclusion is that Unnikrishna Kurup, who fell under the auto, could not escape due to the heavy rain and the river overflowing.
On getting the information, the fire rescue team headed by Station Officer Vinod Kumar from Atur reached the spot and took out Unnikrishna Kurup who was trapped in the auto from the stream. Immediately after being pulled out, fire officers administered CPR but could not save him.
Senior Fire and Rescue Officer Aji Khan, Fire and Rescue Officers Sarath, Santosh, Pradeep, Ajeesh MC, Suresh Kumar and Ajayakumar participated in the rescue operations. The body was sent to Adoor General Hospital in an ambulance. Adoor police team headed by Sub Inspector Ajikumar was also present at the spot.
