One person died during a building fire in Tilff (Esneux, province of Liège) during the night from Monday to Tuesday, Liège firefighters said.
The fire broke out around midnight on the ground floor of a single-family house on rue de Limoges. It then spread to the roof. During their intervention, firefighters discovered a victim inside the home, just behind the door. The person died.
Around twenty firefighters attended the scene. The intervention ended around 3:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.
An investigation has been opened. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
