The young soccer player who recently starred in a violent incident by assaulting a referee and kicking him in the head during an amateur match in Sarandí, Buenos Aires province, has been found dead.

Williams Alexander Tapón, the individual who was identified as responsible for the brutal attack on Ariel Paniagua and whose images went viral, allegedly decided to take his own life. The soccer player’s body was found lifeless on the train tracks, near General Paz and Heredia, last Monday night.

Indeed, referee Cristian Ariel Paniagua filed a criminal complaint at Police Station No. 4 in Sarandí, Avellaneda against those who hit him. In this sense, the young soccer player was charged with “aggravated homicide due to attempted treachery in the context of a sporting event.”
It should be remembered that this first event occurred after one of the men from the La Cortada FC team, Emanuel Arse, received a yellow card from the referee.
