A road accident, with fatal consequences, occurred Saturday morning, around 6:00 a.m., rue de Maestricht, in Battice, in the territory of the municipality of Herve.
Firefighters from rescue zone 4, Vesdre Hoëgne and Plateau, intervened on site and extricated the victim.
The driver, a man born in 1948 and originally from Olne, died at the scene of the accident, police said.
The only person involved, he lost control of his vehicle, left the road and hit a tree. To allow the intervention of emergency services and various findings, the national 627, rue Privôt and Rosmel, were closed to traffic for almost 3h30.
