Three little brothers died this morning in a devastating fire that destroyed his precarious home in Tunuyan. The fatalities had 7, 9 and 13 yearsconfirmed police sources.
The minors in the damaged home were four. In addition to the three deceased children, there was another 11 year old sister who managed to escape the flames, although she suffered burns on her face and arms and was taken by neighbors to the hospital.
The four brothers had been left alone in the house when the raging fire started. His father was working and her mother had left early for the Tunuyán hospital with another daughter, the sources consulted detailed.
The fatalities were identified as Cesar (7), Santino (9) and Angel (13)all last name funes. While the injured minor, who was later transferred to the Notti hospital, is called Florence.
The alarms went off at 8:20 a.m. when the Funes family home, located in the Corso farm, in Calderón streetbegan to be quickly consumed by flames.
The speed with which the fire grew made it impossible for the little brothers to react, who were found lifeless, charred and under the rubble left by the sinister destroyer.
Florencia, the only survivor, was able to escape with severe burns. She was rescued by neighbors. “The house was already completely taken over by fire,” they said. The girl was taken in a private car to the Scaravelli hospital with burns on her face and her arms.
There, she was assisted in the first instance and, due to the seriousness of her injuries, it was decided to transfer her to the Humberto Notti hospital.
A few minutes after the first call, firefighters from the Central Headquarters and Tunuyán Volunteers arrived at the scene. In just 10 minutes they managed to put out the fire, but the destruction of the building was already complete.
After this, the rescuers entered the house in ruins and found the bodies of the 3 little brothers.
The children’s mother, Lorena, confirmed that the boys were alone since she had taken her other daughter to the hospital and the father had left early for work.
