A 33-year-old man died on the night of Monday June 26 to Tuesday June 27, 2023, near Montpellier. According to “20 Minutes”, the victim had various “penetrating wounds in the chest”. The man, in serious condition, succumbed to his injuries while being transported to the emergency room.
Still according to our French colleagues, the scene occurred in the rue de la Liberation. It would have been filmed by a witness and, on the video transmitted to the gendarmes, we see the thirty-something in the company of a couple. “A verbal altercation took place between the said couple and the victim. Subsequently, the woman would have hit the defendant with a bottle, then would have given the man a knife, specifies the prosecution. The man would then have carried two quick stab wounds to the victim’s chest. The couple then left in their vehicle.”
At the time of writing these lines, the reason for this altercation is not yet known. According to the local press, the victim was a quiet man, “without history”. This couple, still according to our colleagues, would be of Belgian nationality. He fled and is hotly sought after.
