A man suspected of murder arrested in Flémalle
An argument gone wrong
Ethan De Graaff and Alexandra Périlleux, originally from Comblain-au-Pont, had been in a relationship for two years already but very recently the couple had separated; a decision that would go back a fortnight… This Friday, what should have been a simple appointment allowing the young woman to take back her personal belongings, turned into a tragedy. Alexandra Périlleux will not come out of Ethan’s house alive…
It is here, at number 52 rue Thier Beauduin, on the heights of Flémalle, that the drama took place. Arrived in the evening on the spot, the young woman would have first had a cordial exchange with Ethan De Graaf. The two former lovers would have spent the evening together and it was only later, when the young man was cooking, that he came across a message addressed to Alexandra; SMS suggesting that she was in a relationship with another man.

Mad with rage, Ethan then asked Alexandra for an explanation, not without grabbing the latter… who will end up falling to the ground, head first. Without realizing that the young woman had a head injury, according to her, Ethan will shake it again, before noticing the blood flowing and seeing Alexandra lose consciousness. Definitively.

It is Ethan himself who will then call the police, admitting that he “believed he had killed his ex”… Very quickly the emergency services will intervene but they will not be able to do anything for the unfortunate mother. During the night from Friday to Saturday, an investigating judge was seized and a medical examiner was dispatched to the scene.
According to the first findings, there would be no traces of blows suggesting a scene of repeated violence. There would therefore have been no relentlessness on the part of the perpetrator.
In this peaceful district of Flémalle, there is total incomprehension, Ethan being known as “a nice, exemplary and hardworking boy”, confided to us a neighbor. A baker by profession, he often volunteered to render services.
Heard, Ethan De Graaff, totally unknown to justice until today, is in full confession. He was placed under arrest warrant this Saturday at 11:30 p.m.
A more complete autopsy of the victim will take place on Monday.
