Kottayam – SI Jobi George (52) of Ramapuram police station fell to his death from the top of a three-storey building while trying to catch the Chittukali gang. Ponkunnam is a native of Kirakadav. The incident happened around 11 pm yesterday. He was rushed to Cherpungal Medicaid but died late at night. Body in Kottayam Medical College Hospital.
The police arrived on information that there was noise and gambling going on in the building where non-state workers live. The door on the third floor was locked and SI stepped on the door and fell down.
