Four people were killed and four others wounded in a shooting Monday night in Philadelphia while a suspect was detained, US media reported, citing police.
A Philadelphia Police Department spokesman confirmed to Archyde.com by email that there were “multiple gunshot victims,” but said no further details were immediately available.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that police officers said they arrested a suspect wearing a bulletproof vest and confiscated a rifle and handgun from a nearby alley.
Both the Inquirer and > affiliate Philadelphia WPVI reported that two of the people shot were juveniles, but it was not clear if they were among the dead.
The shooting came a day after two people were killed and 28 wounded, nearly half of them children, in a shooting at a party in Baltimore, Maryland.
