The Salzburg lakes were popular on today’s hot Sunday and a heavily frequented destination. However, the bathing trip ended fatally for two men, as reported by ORF Salzburg. The two swimming accidents happened almost simultaneously.
At the lido Seekirchen am Wallersee a mid-30-year-old suddenly went under. Witnesses would have alerted the rescue workers immediately and rescue divers were able to get the man out of the lake. However, the man died trying to revive him.

Health problems at Lake Wolfgang
The second accident occurred in St Gilgen am Wolfgangsee. An elderly man would have had health problems near the shore. In this case, witnesses are said to have immediately provided first aid and alerted the rescue services. But in this case too, no help was available: attempts at resuscitation failed and the man died. According to ORF Salzburg, the relatives of crisis intervention teams are cared for.
