Around 3:00 in the afternoon this Saturday, a traffic accident was recorded in the Las Garzas sector, a few meters from the IVSS Dr. Domingo Guzmán Lander, Urbaneja municipality, which left one person dead.
According to information provided by Civil Protection (PC) officials, the victim was identified as Reinaldo López González, 32 years old.
Apparently, the man was in the back of a white Ford Super Duty truck, which was driven by his brother Jairo López, when he fell to the pavement and died at the scene.
Authorities indicated that Reinaldo was traveling behind the vehicle because he was helping with a move. They added that the mattress they were transporting moved due to the wind and hit him, at which point he fell from the truck.
Commissions from the Bolivarian National Police (PNB), Anzoátegui State Police (Polianzoátegui) and firefighters arrived at the scene, who directed traffic while removing the body.
The remains of López González were transferred to the morgue of the National Service of Medicine and Forensic Sciences (Senamecf), located in Tronconal III of the Simón Bolívar municipality.
