The driver, 48-year-old Phoebe Copas, opened fire on the driver, Daniel Piedra Garcia. While traveling on the highway, he saw a sign to Mexico and mistakenly thought that he was being kidnapped. Daniel was shot in the back of the head and neck and died while undergoing treatment. After this, the woman in custody was charged with murder.

According to the report, Kopas, who is from Kentucky, was in Texas to visit her boyfriend. The two decided to meet at a casino after her boyfriend got off work. They booked an Uber cab to reach there. On the way, Copas saw a highway sign that read Juarez, Mexico, and he got scared. Then he took out the gun in the bag and fired. The driver, Daniel, who was shot in the neck and behind, succumbed to death the other day.

Meanwhile, the police confirmed that there was no attempt to abduct Dravir. The vehicle was traveling in the correct direction after checking the Uber application location. Similarly, the driver was attacked without seeking help from the police. The police clarified that the picture of the shot driver was sent to his boyfriend after the attack.
