Police, paramedics and a tug were called to rue Joannette, in Valleyfield this Saturday followingnoon, following receiving a call regarding a half-submerged trailer at the descent of boats, rue Joannette.
It was ultimately the sport utility vehicle that also ended up in the water.
A 70-year-old was taken to hospital with a foot injury.
“By putting his boat in the water, the front wheel of his vehicle would have passed over his foot when it was in reverse,” explains Renaud Pilon, public relations officer at the Cooperative of Ambulance Technicians of Montérégie (CETAM).
