Patna: Ten trains canceled following train accident in Bihar. Indian Railways also informed that 21 trains have been diverted.
Eight trains including Patna-Kashi Janshatabdi (15126) and Kashi Patna Janshatabdi Express (15125) have been cancelled.
Four deaths have been reported so far in the accident. Delhi-Kamakhya Northeast Express derailed. The incident took place in Raghunathpur station on Wednesday night. Six coaches were derailed. It is reported that around 70 people were injured in the accident.
Two AC three-tier coaches overturned and four other coaches derailed. As soon as the incident took place, local residents reached the spot and started rescue operations, which reportedly helped reduce the death rate. At the same time, Bihar Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the cause of the accident will be investigated while paying tributes to the deceased.
