‘Training Day’ director directs Michael Jackson film

The film is being written by John Logan, who also wrote James Bond: Skyfall, Gladiator, The Aviator and Hugo. He was able to secure Oscar nominations for the last three. He describes the film as a “never-before-told, in-depth portrait” of the King of Pop. All aspects of Michael Jackson’s life should be examined in it – including the allegations of abuse. Graham King, who produced films such as ‘The Departed’ and ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and worked with John Logan on ‘The Aviator’ and ‘Hugo’, will be producing.

Two executors of the Michael Jackson estate are also involved. Their role in the production, and thus the answer to the question to what extent they can influence the portrayal of the King of Pop, has not yet been clearly clarified. “Michael” does not have a release date yet. Director Antoine Fuqua is currently working on “The Equalizer 3” with Denzel Washington.
