Transfer Activities and Player Departures: Updates from Eibenstein and SC Gmünd

The last round of the 2nd class Waldviertel Central was already a month ago, but the transfer activities of the district clubs are still limited. There is currently only movement at Eibenstein. After the departures of Milan Stanek and Jürgen Haimböck, Sebastian Windisch and Anton Glaser are now also leaving the club. “They want to try it once more in a higher league,” explains press spokesman Lucas Simon. The Eibensteiners have already said goodbye to SC Gmünd, but the state league team has not confirmed this yet.

Both players were largely used in the reserve team, but also collected minutes in the first team in the last game once morest Windigsteig. Glaser has also played for SVE for over ten years and also wore the captain’s armband in the reserve team for some time. “We would like to thank both players very much. Anton Glaser in particular was at the club for a long time and we are very grateful to him for his commitment,” said Simon.

Despite the departures, there are no worries that the squad might become too small in the spring. “There were even games last season where we had to cancel players. Because some players came from Großdietmanns in the summer, there are no problems here. Participation in training will continue to be an important factor in determining who gets to play in the reserve team,” explains Simon.
