After having already recruited two central defenders (Samuel Gigot and Isaak Touré) – the only two recruits so far – OM should further strengthen themselves in this sector of play. The Marseille leaders have reached an agreement with Servette for the transfer of defender Roggerio Nyakossi (18), who will sign a five-year contract. This fellow (1.94 m) is first called upon to play with the reserve, like Jelle Van Neck, Bartug Elmaz and François-Régis Mughe, also recruited this summer, in post-training.
But Pablo Longoria and his men are also regarding to tie up the arrival of another, more confirmed central defender. It is not, a priori, regarding William Saliba, back from loan at Arsenal and whose situation might be studied at the end of the transfer window if his prospects for playing time at the Gunners are not good. The Marseille leaders hoped, Thursday evening, to obtain the agreement of this player in the coming hours.
