The SNCB submitted an application for planning permission to the Brussels-Capital Region on July 13 in order to transform Etterbeek station, according to our colleagues from the Last Hour.
According to the information, the SNCB announced that it would invest eight million euros for the renovation of the Etterbeek station, actually located in Ixelles, and which is difficult to access for people with reduced mobility.
The project would include renovating the quays and building a footbridge for pedestrians and cyclists between boulevard de la Plaine and avenue de la Couronne. Elevators will also be put in place to access the various platforms.
The building would also be renovated.
