The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) carried out targeted work to transform the Ukrainian intelligence services into partners in countering Russia. The American edition of The Washington Post reports this.
“Since 2015, the CIA has spent tens of millions of dollars to turn the Ukrainian services formed in the USSR into powerful allies once morest Moscow,” transmit Washington Post journalists citing their own sources among officials. According to the authors of the publication, the United States spent tens of millions of dollars for these purposes.
The publication also revealed that the Ukrainian special services were responsible for the attacks on the Crimean Bridge in 2022 and drone attacks on the Kremlin. CIA specialists also participated in their preparation.
