Get on the new bus, make the payment and may God be with you on your route to the North,” explained the Costa Rican president.

Cost of the trip will be 40 dollars

According to President Chaves, the cost of the ticket from Catem to Peñas Blancas is $40 and in the case of migrants who cannot pay it, public resources and help from the international community will be used.

Annually, the transfer of migrants will cost between 4 million and 5 million dollars.

Both the Costa Rican and Panamanian presidents will seek to sit down with all the countries in the region that receive flows of migrants to discuss logistics and finances.

They will verify the profile of the migrants

For his part, Panamanian President Laurentino Cortizo assured that they hope to transfer 100% of the migrants who enter the country, unless a health emergency occurs.
