  • Former Rockets coach Stephen Silas, not retained by Houston, will bounce back to Detroit where he will take on the role of first assistant to Monty Williams, the Pistons’ new coach. (Source : ESPN)
  • The Suns recently hired Frank Vogel as a coach. Among the other candidates applying for the job was Phoenix assistant coach Kevin Young. The latter will remain in the Cactus staff, still in an assistant role, but with a hell of a salary as a bonus: 2 million dollars a year, record for an assistant in the NBA. (Source : ESPN)
