Travis Kelce Buys Historic $5.35M Bratenahl Mansion in Ohio

Travis Kelce Purchases Historic $5.35 Million Bratenahl Estate Along Lake Erie

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has purchased a historic 3.5-acre lakefront estate in Bratenahl, Ohio, for $5.35 million. The roughly 21,000-square-foot property, known locally as Moyenage, dates back to approximately 1895 and sits just miles from Kelce’s hometown of Cleveland Heights.

The high-profile real estate acquisition, first reported by The Wall Street Journal and independently confirmed by News 5 Cleveland, closed quietly in March. The purchase occurred four months before Kelce and pop star Taylor Swift married on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The sprawling Bratenahl estate features eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, combining historical architecture with modern high-end renovations. According to News 5 Cleveland, the property’s past owners include a former president of the Sherwin-Williams Co. and a onetime executive director of Cleveland Clinic Innovations.

Real estate records show that Figurati Construction Group, a Northeast Ohio renovation firm, purchased the massive home for $1.95 million in 2023 and completed extensive restoration work. The property subsequently hit the market with an initial asking price of $6.99 million before the price was adjusted down to $5.99 million. Kelce ultimately secured the estate for $5.35 million.

David Ayers and Nick Zawitz of The Agency Cleveland handled both sides of the transaction. In a written statement cited by News 5 Cleveland, the agents described the property as “a truly rare Great Lakes estate” that successfully blends preservation with contemporary updates. Real estate records related to the sale were signed by Sam Totino, a partner with the Calfee law firm in Cleveland and leader of its sports and entertainment practice group.

Deep Roots in Northeast Ohio

The purchase brings the NFL star back to the shores of Cuyahoga County, just east of downtown Cleveland. Kelce and his older brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, grew up in nearby Cleveland Heights and attended Cleveland Heights High School.

Rumors regarding a potential property purchase in the Cleveland area for Kelce and Swift circulated for more than a year before the March closing became public. The couple announced their engagement in August 2025 after dating for roughly two years, a relationship that captured intense global attention after Swift began attending Chiefs games in 2023.

As Kelce balances his professional football career in Kansas City with his new life with Swift following their New York City wedding, the Bratenahl estate provides a private, historic retreat in his home state.
