The sleep of the people of Granada was interrupted by a “tremendous downpour” that fell through the city and its nearby regions, from 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday until a little following one in the morning on Thursday, March 16. 2023.

The rain came accompanied by thunder and lightning, exceeding INETER forecasts when talking regarding the weather. The streets of the city were flooded, with strong currents that surpassed the ditches.

We are not clear regarding an explanation for this great water when we are barely in the middle of the summer season, when heat waves are announced and people have been looking for the beaches to cool off.

There are those who predict, from lived experiences, that this water hole might be the prelude to a good winter or a drought, INETER has the last word.
