Following the escape of key elements of the September 28, 2009 massacre, many were concerned regarding the continuation of the trial. The government spokesperson has just reassured the victims.
Among the fugitives, three of them were apprehended and brought back into custody. The government reassures that no other detainee apart from Dadis, Pivi, Thiegboro and Colonel Blaise, has escaped and that “the trial will continue as planned, without any delay”.
“We thank the defense and security forces for their invaluable support in the search and arrest of those involved in this escape. Rest assured that the Government remains determined to guarantee peace, security and justice in our country,” said Ousmane Gaoual Diallo.
