Agatha Remaining Low Pressure: heavy rains expected in several states

According to weather authorities, Agatha will move on land over southern Veracruz, causing conditions for torrential rains in Chiapas, Tabasco, eastern Oaxaca and southern Veracruz; intense in Campeche; very strong in Quintana Roo, and strong in Hidalgo, Puebla, Tlaxcala and Yucatán.

The rains in the mentioned states can be accompanied by electrical discharges, and cause landslides, overflowing of rivers and streams and floods in the southeast of Mexico. Also, it will generate wind with gusts of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour in the Yucatan Peninsulaand with waves of 1 to 2 m in height on the coasts of the Gulf of Tehuantepec, Tabasco and southern Veracruz.
