Trübbach SG: Man (43) dies when he falls from the facade scaffolding

A 43-year-old Swiss man was busy on Tuesday in Trübbach SG demolishing the facade scaffolding of a new apartment building. He was standing on the third and thus uppermost scaffolding platform. When trying to throw the metal barriers down, he lost his balance, as the St. Gallen canton police write in a media release.

As a result, he fell from the scaffolding platform onto the concrete floor of the balcony on the first floor, which was several meters below. Despite resuscitation by medical professionals, he died at the scene of the accident. In addition to several patrols from the St. Gallen canton police and medical specialists, members of the fire brigade responded because the casualty had to be rescued with a lifting board.
