An accident involving two trucks occurred around 10.10 a.m. on the Brussels inner ring at km 9.4 near Waterloo towards Ittre. The two trucks across the road completely blocked the passage and also lost their load of fertilizer. The causeway had to be closed around 10:30 a.m.
Traffic was via a service passage in the central berm for a few minutes. The traffic was then diverted to the Brussels ring road at Mont Saint-Jean, to follow the N253, the N5 towards Charleroi or the N27 towards Nivelles.
The road was fully reopened to traffic around 3:00 p.m.
