A truck containing more than 2,000 firearms was stolen overnight from Saturday to Sunday in Peterborough, Ontario.
According to initial information, it was around 7:30 a.m. that the police were called to a trucking company located on Parkhill Road East concerning the theft of a truck “carrying more than 2000 firearms with magazines”. Peterborough Police said in a statement.
The ongoing investigation has determined that the theft occurred around 3 a.m. on the night of Saturday to Sunday.
The police believe that no ammunition is in the truck.
“Although the investigation is only at the beginning, it is believed to be an isolated incident,” it was also said.
