Trump Demands Stronger Deal to Prevent Iran Nuclear Weapons

President Trump stated on April 30 that the United States has already won in its efforts regarding Iran, though he indicated a desire to increase that margin of victory.

“we’ve already won, but I want to win by an even bigger margin… If we depart right now, it would grab them 20 years to rebuild, if they ever could rebuild” President Trump

The president further asserted that the current state of affairs is not good enough, specifying that the U.S. Must secure guarantees that Iran will never possess a nuclear weapon.

Following these remarks, Trump addressed the status of ongoing negotiations on May 1, stating that he was not happy with the current trajectory of discussions. He emphasized that the opposing party must produce a satisfactory agreement.

“They’ve got to approach up with the right deal. At this moment, I’m not satisfied with what they’re offering” President Trump
