WASHINGTON – Former US President Donald Trump, who has been sentenced to millions of dollars in compensation for sexual abuse and defamation, has appealed the verdict. A New York grand jury on Tuesday found it proven that Trump assaulted and sexually assaulted author E. Jean Carroll in a New York upscale department store in 1996. Because of this and because of defamation, Trump should pay five million dollars (4.57 million euros) to the 79-year-old today.
