A source in the Turkish Foreign Ministry said that the ministry summoned today, Monday, the US ambassador in Ankara, to express its dissatisfaction with the visit made by a senior US military official to northeastern Syria earlier this week.
Ankara requested clarification from the US ambassador, Jeff Flake, about this surprise visit that the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mark Milley, made to the region on the fourth of March.
