Ankara| The death toll from the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria has exceeded 24,000. After the 7.8 magnitude earthquake, more than 100 followingshocks were reported in Turkey and Syria. It also included an followingshock of magnitude 7.5. The official estimate is that the number of injured in both countries is close to 80,768. According to reports, trucks carrying the second phase of UN aid have arrived in northwest Syria. The aid arrived following the Bab Al Hawa crossing. This includes tents, blankets and food items.
The first aid was delivered on Thursday. The World Food Program has called for more emergency aid to be sent to Syria.
