Nicosia/Lefkosa – Members of the United Nations peacekeeping force were attacked on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus on Friday. According to the UN, Turkish Cypriots attacked deployed personnel in the morning and damaged vehicles. News portals showed video showing heavy construction vehicles pushing aside UN vehicles and tumult between Turkish Cypriot security guards and UN blue helmets.
