Istanbul – In Istanbul, activists protested against discrimination against trans people despite a ban on events. However, the police prevented the participants of the “Trans Pride Parade” from demonstrating as planned in the central Taksim Square with large roadblocks on Sunday. Metro connections there were also interrupted. The activist association Kaos GL reported on “attacks” by the police against demonstrators.
