To celebrate the feast of love together with his loved ones, Daniel Himmelberg invites his blended family to a trip on the “Dream Ship”. It quickly becomes clear that everyone in this family seems to have relationship problems. Daniel asks his mother Ulrike Himmelberg for advice on his relationship with his wife Sonja, who may be dating her ex-husband Jan Kaminski again.
Jan, on the other hand, worries about his relationship with his new partner Julia Stetter, who seems to be hiding something from him. To make matters worse, Jan’s father Stefan Kaminski shows up on the ship, trying to get closer to his son after a heavy loss. However, he vehemently blocks it.
