New York: Elon Musk, who conducted an opinion poll asking if he would resign as the head of Twitter, miscalculated. Musk conducted the opinion poll through Twitter. Musk also promised that he would accept the results of the opinion poll.
After eight hours of voting, 175 lakh people had cast their votes. 57.5 percent of them said that Musk should resign. 42.5 percent of people supported Musk.
Following this, Musk also shared some other tweets. “Going forward, there will be a vote for major policy changes. I apologize. It won’t happen again,” he said in a tweet. “As the saying goes, what you wish for, you may get,” he wrote in another tweet.
Earlier, Musk polled former US President Donald Trump to return to Twitter. The majority opinion was to bring Trump back to Twitter. Musk asked his 12.2 crore followers on Twitter to vote on whether he should continue. He also stated that even if he resigns from the position of CEO of Twitter, he does not intend to leave the position of owner.
