Twitter introduces new controls for advertising locations

Twitter told advertisers in an email that it will roll out new controls as soon as next week that will allow companies to prevent their ads from appearing above or below tweets containing certain keywords.

Twitter generates nearly 90 percent of its revenue from selling digital ads.

An informed source stated that a Twitter representative said in a call yesterday, Thursday, with a group operating in the sector, that the platform is considering having content managers, many of whom are contracted through outsourcing companies, work on the strength of the company.

The source added that the Twitter representative said that the work of those in charge of content auditing on the strength of the company will allow the platform to invest more in the process of managing languages ​​other than English.

An email sent to advertisers on Thursday and seen by Archyde.com said a revised version of Twitter’s subscription service, called Twitter Blue, would start working on Friday.

According to the email, subscribing to that service will allow accounts to receive a verification mark. Individual accounts will receive a blue mark with validation, while the golden and gray marks will be for corporate and government accounts.

The email added that the subscription price would be $7 per month on the web version and $11 per month on Apple devices.
