Two brothers aged 12 and 13 were tragically orphaned after their mother and father were found dead at home within months of each other.
Brothers Robbie, 12, and Logan Clinton, 13, lost their mother Shelley, 51, on March 24.
The children, who live in the UK, returned home with their father Mike to find she had died, reports the Daily Mail.
This sudden and unexpected death left the boys devastated.
But on July 27, tragedy struck again when Robbie and Logan came home from a sleepover and noticed their father hadn’t gotten out of bed yet.
After entering his bedroom, the boys found their father unresponsive in his bed.
It is their 19-year-old cousin, Caitlin, who has since devoted herself to taking care of the boys.
Mike’s older sister said she was very proud of Caitlin.
“We are very proud of her. One of the first things she said was that she was going to take care of these boys. She did the same with Mike after Shelley died and always made sure he was okay,” she told the Daily Mail.
Mike and Shelley’s family are still awaiting the cause of death.
